Why should you service your car at least once a year even if you hardly drove it Part 1

Why should you take your car in for service at least once a year, even if you don’t drive it much?

When a filter needs to be changed, new cars have a built-in system that lets you know. This happens because the lights on your dashboard are linked to the diagnostic system in your car, and the diagnostic system is linked to sensors. If one of these sensors finds a problem, it will send a signal to your dashboard telling you that you might need to change your brakes or filter.

This system is not in older cars. Depending on the make and model of your car, it may only have a simple service light. It won’t be able to tell you, though, which filters need to be changed. Because of this, it’s important to know, based on the kind of car you drive, which filters need to be changed at what mileage.

Each filter is made to keep harmful substances from getting into the inside of your car or into certain parts of your engine. Some of these parts are the fuel injectors and the combustion chamber.

Chandler Motor Company suggests that you have your car serviced according to the manufacturer’s instructions, which you can find in your car’s manual or service book. For older cars, we suggest that you take it in for service every 15,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first.

Oil & Oil Filter

The first step is to clean all the dirt and other things out of your engine. If the contaminants stay in the engine, they could cause blockages that stop oil from getting to some parts of the engine.
